Modern Troubadours of Martyn Bal

After the exciting by-pass, we took to Dejan Despotovic' Fall'09 collection, let's get back to spring, and follow me to the luminous world of Martyn Bal.

Martyn Bal has impressive work experience, with names like Dirk Bikkembergs, Hedi Slimane at Dior Homme, Versace Men, and Burberry Prorsum.
He is a true professional, who still have the eye for sensitivity, romanticism, and timeless elegance. His creations for this season are made for the modern gentlemen of our times, for any time, and any occasion. Classic shapes and cuts, quality materials and fine workmanship.

They describe their vision about the Man of Martyn Bal, as:

"... a Swan, the attributes of the MARTYN BAL Man always have an edge; an effortless beauty that tolerates no preening, resilience created by the softest feathers, and a wild nature easily tamed by love."

Like they said, a hopeless romantic with a dirty mind, strong and fragile at the same time.

Menswear is said to be more restricted than womenswear because traditions limit the spirit of innovation. But I think those traditions have started to disappear these days. There is more courage in today's men to express themselves in an outlandish, but still masculine way, without any traditional costume.
And as we see, it is possible to create clothing for men in a way which is fresh but wearable and express an idea, that can be adopted!
Everything is about the attitude, and of course a well selected wardrobe!

Angolosra veszi a figurát ezzel a ballonkabátos megoldással. Na itt tipik látszik a Burberry behatás meg egy szösszenetnyi Ferre (de az utóbitól sokkal szebb kivitelezésben). Nagyon finoman megmunkált szabászati megoldásokat alkalmaz. Én Balról eddig nem hallottam (shame on me). Kicsit hasonlít Thome Brownera, kivéve, h itt hordanak a modellek zoknit :) De nagyon bejövős. (és még egy extra tipp: Giuliano Fujiwara)
