Rue du Mail Fall 2009

On the first day of Paris FW, Gareth Pugh stole the show, and took all my attention from everyone else. But there was another designer, who was worth to see, and it was Rue du Mail's Martine Sitborn.

Her new collection introduced us a wide palette of rock'n'roll-chic outfits. Skin-tight trousers, asymmetrical shapes, hip leather jackets, very edgy but feminine, and let me say this word for the first time on these pages, the outfits were really sexy.
The dark vibe of the atmosphere, the gags in make up and styling were also really hit!
In their review on showstudio, they said, Rue du Mail's girl was a 'Disco Jeanne d'Arc' for this season. Sounds funny, but there's some truth in this expression, because there were some hidden referencies to past historical times, like the Middle Ages or Napoleon, but it was a very light, and chic mix of ages and styles.

I can imagine Kate Moss, dressed in these clothes from head to toe... I'm not sure if they had menswear as well... I'm curious.
